The SF Glens Evolution Micro Academy Program is dedicated to girls and boys, ages 4-7. It has been carefully designed to introduce the game of soccer, teach the fundamentals, and make the game lots of fun. 

Over the past many years, the founding clubs of San Francisco Glens Evolution have developed many top youth soccer players. This was the result of starting these kids early, teaching them to love playing with and controlling the ball, and building up confidence through fun and engaging repetition.

We call it the "Maguire Method" after Pat Maguire, our longtime coach and current Director of the Micro Academy. The Maguire Method involves careful and continual repetition of specific ball manipulation and body movements, and has been responsible for giving countless kids the technical foundation, balance, and confidence to start their soccer careers a few clear steps ahead of the rest of the pack.
During the fall (August-Early Nov) and spring (Late March-Mid May) playing seasons, we offer two options within our Microsoccer Program: Micro Academy and Micro League.  The Academy is a once a week session--practice only--where our youngest players will learn fundamentals.  The Micro League will place a player on a team within the SF Microsoccer League.  The player will participate in a practice session with their respective team and will play a game every Saturday. 

At other times of the year, we offer extra training, special micro events and playdates so the kids can keep playing and keep learning! Check for the most recent announcements below.

We are still looking for players for the following age group
Girls in kindergarten, 1st grade and 5th grade.

​There will be one practice session per week and one game on the weekend.
