Q: When will I know to what group my son/daughter is assigned for Spring 2019 Goalkeeper training? when will I know the time and location of practice(s)? All goalkeepers should have received all the details. If in doubt, please send an email to sfgeseba@gmail.com Q: What if for unforeseen family reasons we need to change times of practice attendance? It is virtually impossible for us to anticipate all problems and combinations. If you have a problem with the assigned practice times, please contact us and to the extent we can we will try to find alternative solutions. Q: What is the structure of the Spring 2019 season program? Players born in or before 2009 practice once a week, on Friday afternoon for 90 minutes. All GK practices are in addition to team practice(s). There is a charge to cover for field rental and trainers. Players born in 2007 and 2008 practice once a week, on Monday afternoon. GK practices are in addition to team practice(s). There is a charge to cover for field rental and trainers. Competitive Players born in 2006 and 2005 practice once/twice a week with a GK Coach and once/twice a week with their respective teams. The exact balance is decided jointly with the team’s Head Coach. Practices are on Wednesdays and Thursdays. There is a charge to cover for the extra day field rental. Competitive Players born in 2004 or earlier practice twice/week with a GK coach and once/week with their teams. The team’s Head Coach may decide to adjust the balance as he/she sees the need. Practices are on Tuesday and Thursday. The cost of GK training is already included in the yearly club fee. Q: Can you tell me more about SFGE Goalkeeper Academy jersey? Starting in Fall 2019 we will offer SFGE Goalkeeper Academy branded jerseys. Working with our official equipment supplier, Soccerloco, we found a great price/quality option. Players are requested to wear the jersey at practice. The jersey can also be used for games. Q: Is the program open to non-SFGE players? While the season training is intended for SFGE registered players, we are open to accept other players if spots become available. Clinics are generally open to non-SFGE players. SFGE club members have priority and more lower fees. If you know of a player who wants to try, please email benkay@sfge.org . We will be happy to offer a time for evaluation. Please be aware there are League rules we need to honor, and that may limit what we can and cannot do with non-SFGE players. Question not answered?
